Oak Health Center Launches Sleep Program To Improve Poor Sleep Quality

Dr. Alison Kole spearheads the Oak Health Center’s new sleep program, which aims to help people struggling with insomnia and other sleep concerns.

Laguna Hills, California, United States - May 16, 2023

Oak Health Center, Southern California’s premier comprehensive mental health outpatient care organization, launches its sleep program — a sleep coaching program for individuals with insomnia and other sleep concerns.

Oak Health Center established its sleep program with the goal of providing quick and convenient access to sleep consultation. The program integrates traditional evidence-based approaches with holistic techniques to address the growing issue of chronic lack of sleep and poor sleep quality.

Sleep has a huge impact not only on physical health but also mental health. Moreover, sleep deprivation is a common sign of various mental conditions, including severe depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder.

By helping people improve their sleep through the program, Oak Health Center hopes to also minimize or reduce patients’ reliance on medications that can make it more difficult to sleep.

The Oak Health Center Sleep Program is founded and headed by Dr. Alison Kole, MD, MPH, FCCP, FAASM. Dr. Kole is a board-certified physician in Sleep, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at the acclaimed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at UCLA and has been practicing for over a decade.

As Dr. Kole succinctly states, “Improving sleep is a crucial component of disease prevention.” The sleep program offers two options: all-inclusive sleep coaching and a streamlined version for apnea services.

The all-inclusive program includes a comprehensive sleep assessment and one-on-one sleep coaching, courtesy of a board-certified sleep expert. This course is highly recommended for individuals struggling with insomnia, hypersomnia, and other complex sleep concerns. The streamlined program is best suited for individuals with sleep apnea and focused sleep concerns.
