Memorial service to be held Thursday for Greg Van Dusen, a key figure in Kings' move to Sacramento

Though his career included running a Placer County tourism group and getting the first naming-rights sponsorship on a sports facility, Greg Van Dusen's greatest impact on the Sacramento region came when he helped bring the then-Kansas City Kings to town in 1985.
