Only 42% of DC murder cases were closed after anti-police movement and it could get worse, criminologists say

Only two out of every five murders in Washington, D.C. were closed in 2021, according to D.C. Witness. Criminologists said the anti-police sentiment made witnesses less willing to cooperate with detectives, leading to less murder arrests.
