Arista Recovery is pleased to announce the opening of its Kansas location which will offer a comprehensive range of substance use (addiction) assessment, outpatient, and addiction treatment services. The 38-acre residential treatment facility is located at 901 E Miami Street in Paola, Kansas, the former home of the Ursuline Motherhouse.
Arista Recovery’s goal is simple: Promote healing, inspire hope, and dignify receiving support for individuals and families impacted by substance use and co-occurring issues. The organization plans to accomplish this by providing best-in-class services that occur in vibrant, energizing environments as clients discover new pathways to happiness.
It won’t be easy, which is why National Clinical Director Krista Kelly is motivated to make a change.
“We settled on the Midwest because the need was the greatest,” said Kelly, who began working in the substance use field in 2013 as a staff counselor.
“This section of America deserves more resources, more tools, more help -- from moms and dads to veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community and first responders. Nobody’s life should be overrun by substances.”
Drug overdose deaths involving opioids in Missouri totaled 1,132 in 2018 — an increase compared to 952 deaths in 2017.
Programming includes detoxification and residential levels of care.
As clinical director, Kelly will oversee clinical services at the Kansas addiction recovery facility. Over the course of her career, she has worked directly with adults impacted by addiction and mental health issues. Known for her honest and direct approach, Kelly has transitioned into clinical leadership roles, opening multiple facilities in all levels of care throughout the United States.
She holds an undergraduate degree and master’s degree in social work, as well as a certified addiction professional certificate.
