Ask Dave Taylor Reviews Consumer Electronics

CO based YouTube channel Ask Dave Taylor is pleased to offer their community a reliable source of unbiased, comprehensive reviews of consumer electronics. The channel is dedicated to identifying what consumers want and exploring whether their favorite brands are delivering on their promises. Dave Taylor of Ask Dave Taylor releases weekly videos with honest assessments of products that include phones, earbuds, appliances, computer peripherals and more. Many consider the channel a good way to learn about certain electronic devices before making the decision to buy them, and Dave Taylor makes it a point to cover a wide variety of products from a range of manufacturers.

Taylor himself has years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, including being an Innovations Award judge at the Consumer Electronics Show multiple years in a row. His experience and expertise make him an invaluable source of information on whether or not to purchase a particular device, and he informs his viewers through honest and entertaining videos about each device.

The Ask Dave Taylor channel is nearly as old as YouTube itself, with Dave Taylor having hopped on the platform relatively soon after its launch. Over the years, the channel has amassed nearly 10 million views, and that number continues to grow as Ask Dave Taylor uploads engaging videos on a regular basis. Taylor’s work with computers predates platforms like YouTube by many years, however. He has been working with computers since the 1980s and is considered one of the pioneers of the internet thanks to his contributions to making the internet the communication and learning tool it is today. Over the course of his time in the industry, he has attained both the knowledge and experience required to make fair judgments of all kinds of electronics.

Ask Dave Taylor is primarily written by Dave Taylor, and the production of each video is handled by a team of highly skilled individuals, including Gareth and Ashley Taylor, Gary Moskoff, Klaus Holzapfel, Paul M. Bowers and Thomas and Deb Frey. From their base in Boulder, Colorado, the team behind Ask Dave Taylor produces quality content every week, which millions of people around the world have spent countless hours enjoying. A number of people have used the channel’s videos to decide whether or not an electronic device is worth buying — and the channel is getting closer and closer to being the most reliable source of unbiased information about electronics on YouTube.

“I’ve been in the computer industry since 1980, believe it or not, and have been online since before the beginning of the Internet,” Dave says. “Some say that it wasn’t Al Gore but me who actually invented the Internet, but between Bob Metcalfe, Vint Cerf, Jon Postel, Tim Berners-Lee and many others, we all contributed — big steps or little — to the amazing tool it is today. I have a number of academic credentials if that’s interesting to you, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, a Master’s in Education from Purdue University and a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Baltimore, Merrick School of Business. I generally skip the alphabet soup after my name, though. I teach both undergrad and graduate classes at the University of Denver too.”

Taylor has created and launched four internet-related startups and has served on the boards of many small companies. He has worked with multiple investment and venture capital firms as a due diligence analyst and written more than 20 books on a variety of topics (along with thousands of magazine and newspaper articles). He is, essentially, a font of knowledge regarding all things electronic and more.

Taylor is also an award winning public speaker who regularly attends trade and professional conferences. “I’ve run large conferences,” he explains. “I’ve given dozens of keynote talks, moderated panels, argued on panels and done just about every other job necessary to keep a conference running smoothly. And yes, I participate in a lot of online events through Zoom, Microsoft Meeting and related tools. I now split my time between offering tech support and advice here on Ask Dave Taylor, producing consumer electronics review videos on my Ask Dave Taylor YouTube channel and writing about fatherhood, parenting, film, cars and men’s lifestyle topics on my popular GoFatherhood site. Along with a lot of other things, depending on the week!”
