He was a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University, UK. He holds a Ph.D. in International Trade and Third World Countries. He was a member of the prestigious Indian Administrative Service ( IAS ). He is a recipient of the National Citizen's Award from the President of India. His first novel 'Happiness is a Butterfly ' was published in 2007. He lives in Melbourne, Australia.
