After woman shoots her attacker, Rep. Dan Crenshaw draws backlash for his take on universal background checks

The Texas Republican and passionate gun-rights backer cited a story about a woman opening fire on her attackers as to “why we protect the 2nd Amendment.” OK, fair enough. Reasonable take. He didn’t leave it there, however.
