AG to appeal $475M coal-ash charge to Duke Energy Carolinas customers

N.C. Attorney General Josh Stein will appeal Duke Energy Carolinas’ 1.2% rate hike, challenging at least the provisions putting customers on the hook for $475 million in coal ash cleanup costs.
