Fort Worth, TX August 11, 2022 – Alliance Vision Institute is proud to announce Dr. Brett Mueller II will join Dr. Taylor Strange as an ophthalmologist and surgeon on Aug. 15. Along with Dr. Strange, Alliance Vision Institute will now have two full-time surgeons at their practice. The addition of Dr. Mueller solidifies Alliance Vision Institute’s reputation as a premier center for eye care and ophthalmic services in the Fort Worth area.
“I’m very excited to bring my skills and services to such a dedicated provider like Alliance Vision Institute,” said Mueller, D.O., Ph.D. “As a sixth-generation Texan, it’s an honor to serve the people of Fort Worth. I completed my medical degree and Ph.D. at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, so it’s a familiar place – I love the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and I’ve spent seven years here.”
Originally from San Antonio, Dr. Mueller completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, before receiving his medical degree and Ph.D. from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He completed his residency at the University of Louisville, as well as a year-long refractive, cataract, and anterior segment fellowship. He specializes in state-of-the-art laser guided cataract surgery, advanced lens implantation, and numerous types of refractive surgeries.

With two surgeons in residence at Alliance Vision Institute, Dr. Strange noted that they can perform greater numbers of refractive surgeries, such as LASIK. With the addition of a second surgeon, Alliance Vision Institute remains committed to providing the greatest patient care to help Fort Worth residents improve their quality of life.
“We have the technology in place that lets us do things that no one else in the area can,” said Dr. Strange. “But you need more than one person to perform the wide array of surgeries we provide – I can’t be in two places at once. Our patients will be in terrific hands no matter what, because we have such a strong commitment to care.”
