Lincoln Goldfinch Law Firm Promotes Krystal Gomez To Senior Attorney

Lincoln-Goldfinch Law, an immigration and bankruptcy firm, promoted immigration attorney Krystal Gomez to senior attorney in March 2022. The move is in line with the firm’s commitment to providing competent and professional service to the immigrant community. As a Senior Attorney, Gomez can use her skills and knowledge to help achieve the firm’s mission.

“I hope to help the firm continue to grow and continue our commitment to helping as many people as we can to reunite with their families in the U.S.,” Gomez said.

Krystal Gomez earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Mexican-American Studies and Government. While at St. Mary’s University Law School, she helped open the San Antonio office of the Equal Justice Center, which aims to help recover unpaid wages for people despite their immigration status. In 2010, she graduated from St. Mary’s Law School and continued working with the Equal Justice Center in Brownsville.

While working with the ACLU of Texas, Gomez visited immigration detention centers and prisons, appeared in Congressional briefings, assisted proceedings by writing Amicus Briefs, and lent her knowledge and expertise to Texas Legislature against anti-immigrant bills. This track record in immigration law areas has granted Gomez the skills and knowledge to directly help people with their immigration problems.

Gomez started as a contract attorney for Lincoln-Goldfinch Law in February 2020 and came on board as a full-time attorney in February 2021. In a statement, the immigration lawyer claimed that she came to Lincoln-Goldfinch Law due to her admiration for Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch’s commitment to the immigrant community when both of them served in the City of Austin’s Commission on Immigrant Affairs. She went on to say that being in the immigration firm is “a natural fit for someone like me who places such a high value in community service and immigrants’ rights.”

Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch is the founding and managing attorney of Lincoln-Goldfinch Law. Her first successful asylum case as a student at the University of Texas Immigration Clinic led her to an easy choice: to spend her law practice helping immigrants fight for justice and dignity. Currently, Lincoln-Goldfinch Law offers services in immigration areas such as asylum, temporary visas, green cards, U.S. citizenship, employment-based U.S. permanent residency, deportation, and immigration appeals. The firm also provides bankruptcy services.
