On April 2, 2025, Deutsche Bank downgraded Altria to “Hold” from “Buy”, citing, in part, regulatory uncertainty after the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that Altria’s NJOY ACE e-vapor products infringe on patents owned by Juul Labs.
On news of the downgrade, Altria’s stock price fell $1.67 or 2.84% to close at $57.12 per share on April 2, 2025.
