The Artsy Backyard has announced that registrations for its 2025 Summer Art Camp for Kids are officially open.
The camp will span across eight weeks in June and July, with each day hosting a structured rotation of activities to strike a balanced mix of creativity, skill-building, and fun.
Activities at the Summer Art Camp for Kids will take place three times a week, Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM for the morning sessions, nad 2:30 PM to 5 PM for the afternoon sessions. Registration is available for any number of days for $160 per day. Signing up for three days in the same week comes with a bundle price of $450.
The programs are suited for kids between second and sixth grade. They cover the main art project, where students explore a host of techniques like watercolor and acrylic. Also included in the program are ceramic painting, creative craft activities, and breaks for snacks, lunch, and socializing.
Private Art Camp is also available. It offers a more personalized experience for groups of 10 or more kids with a minimum commitment of three days, four hours per day.
The Artsy Backyard has been up and running since 2018. It was founded by Ronit Rozen, who describes the community as a blend of her two passions: teaching and art.
Ronit was a school teacher for 25 years prior to launching The Artsy Backyard and holds a Masters in Education.
"Art is for everyone!" the team stated while discussing its philosophy. "At The Artsy Backyard, we embrace creativity and self-expression through art, and we know that every artist has a unique style and point of view. Our goal is to guide students through techniques, methods, and mediums that allow them to explore new and exciting means of artistic expression in a safe, judgment-free space."
Artists of all ages are welcome to joing the community. Apart from Ronit, The Artsy Backyard team consists of Cathy Mayer, Heather Clark, and Elle Reck, all of whom contribute in their own unique ways.
Beyond the Summer Camp, The Artsy Backyard also hosts the Spring Break Art Camp, along with daily art camps throughout the year. Camps are not the community's sole offering, as classes and workshops for kids, teens, and adults are available year-round.
"We welcome artists of every age and ability level to join us in discovering the joys of creation, developing new skills, and connecting with like-minded peers. Every art teacher on our team is dedicated to helping students expand their horizons, express themselves, and have fun along the way," the Artsy Backyard team concluded.
