Trex Showcases the Future of Outdoor Living at IBS 2026

Industry Leader Highlights Performance-Engineered™ Solutions for Evolving Consumer Preferences and Building Codes

From wildfire risk and extreme heat to moisture-heavy and coastal conditions, today’s builders and homeowners face a growing list of environmental challenges. At IBS 2026, Trex Company [NYSE: TREX] will demonstrate how its expanding lineup of Performance-Engineered™ outdoor living solutions empowers professionals to confidently deliver durable, code-compliant outdoor spaces in every environment.

“IBS is where builders come to find solutions they can trust for the real-world challenges they face every day,” said Adam Zambanini, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Trex. “Our focus for IBS 2026 is showcasing how performance-driven innovation can help our partners build outdoor spaces that are safer, longer-lasting and visually appealing regardless of climate, code or application.”

HIGH-PERFORMANCE DECKING FOR EVERY BACKYARD AND BUDGET

Climate resilience has become a critical consideration in residential construction, accelerating demand for decking materials engineered to perform in extreme and variable conditions. Purpose-built for durability and low maintenance, Trex® composite decking is designed to withstand sun, storms, humidity and moisture while delivering premium aesthetics. At IBS 2026 [Booth #S4095], Trex will spotlight a broad range of decking solutions tailored to diverse budgets, design preferences and regional building requirements.

Trex Refuge™: Ignition-Resistant Decking for Fire-Prone Regions**

Among the category leader’s most significant introductions this year, Trex Refuge is an ignition-resistant PVC decking line for fire-prone regions**, meeting strict building codes without sacrificing Trex’s signature durability and design. Tested to the industry’s most rigorous standards, it resists ignition and slows flame spread, complying with ASTM E84 Class A Flame Spread and IWUIC ASTM E2768 ignition resistance standards, making it approved for use in fire-prone and WUI-designated areas.** Available in two nature-inspired hues – Martis Valley, a sun-washed beige, and Point Reyes, a misty grey – Refuge boards resist fading, staining, scratching and warping, and are backed by a 50-year Limited Residential Warranty***.

“Fire-rated decking expands where and how builders can design outdoor spaces while helping them differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive marketplace,” noted Zambanini. “Trex Refuge allows our partners to deliver elevated outdoor designs that meet higher safety standards without compromise.”

Trex Select® Decking: Mid-Tier Composite with Heat-Mitigating* Technology

Trex continues to expand access to advanced performance with additions to its popular Trex Select® decking collection, including the industry’s first mid-priced composite boards to feature heat-mitigation*. Made with Trex’s proprietary SunComfortable™ technology, Select boards are engineered to reflect the sun and keep the surface cooler* than other composites. They are also fully submersible and W.U.I.-compliant, making them ideal for marine applications and areas susceptible to wildfires**.

Ideal for price-conscious builders, Select decking combines durability, structural integrity and design flexibility, with a solid profile that can be curved. Boards come in 12’, 16’ and 20’ lengths and accommodate Trex Hideaway® Hidden Fasteners for a smooth, unfettered finish. New lighter hues feature a refined grain, subtle streaking and low-sheen finish for a natural wood look. Adding further appeal, Select decking is sustainably made from up to 95% recycled and reclaimed content and backed by a 35-year Limited Residential Warranty***.

Trex Enhance® Decking: New On-Trend Colors with Enhanced Performance

Trex is also expanding its wood-conversion-focused Trex Enhance® decking line with two new nature-inspired colors – Pebble Beach and Golden Hour – that balance timeless appeal with contemporary design flexibility. Both feature SunComfortable heat-mitigating* technology, bringing this performance benefit to a wider range of homeowners and professionals.

*Trex SunComfortable™ decking stays cooler than original Trex boards, but like all decking, it will get hot in direct sun on hot days, especially darker colors. Care should be taken to avoid extended contact between exposed skin and the deck surface, especially with young children and those with special needs.

Trex Transcend® Lineage® Decking: New 1”x4” Profile Expands Design Flexibility

New for 2026, Trex is introducing a 1”x4” board profile to its popular Transcend® Lineage® decking line to support multi-width surface designs, drink rail applications and other custom detailing. The square-edge, 16’ board is available in all of the Lineage colors and features the same SunComfortable technology and 50-year Limited Residential Warranty*** as standard Lineage boards.

“At Trex, we believe every homeowner should have access to the benefits of composite decking and to outdoor living spaces that are both beautiful and high-performing,” said Zambanini. “With our latest introductions, we offer advanced features like heat-mitigation and fire-resistance across a wider range of product offerings and price points than any other decking brand, so more families can enjoy stylish decks that resist wear and tear, and deliver lasting performance.”

THE RIGHT RAILING FOR EVERY PREFERENCE AND PROJECT

Complementing its industry-leading decking line, Trex boasts one of the industry’s most comprehensive residential railing selections, including steel, aluminum, composite, mesh, cable and glass options across price points and styles. New and noteworthy solutions to check out during IBS 2026 include:

“Our extensive railing selection empowers distributors, dealers and builders to compete – and win – at every price point,” said Zambanini. “These easy-to-specify, easy-to-install solutions deliver the elevated Trex aesthetics and performance that set our partners apart.”

FENCING: A FAST-GROWING CATEGORY FOR TREX

A new addition to Trex’s IBS presence this year is a focus on fencing. Designed as a durable, low-maintenance alternative to wood, Trex® Composite Fencing resists rot, warping, splintering and insects – without the need for painting or sealing.

Available in a range of timeless colors and styles, options include:

  • Seclusions™ vertical fencing for full privacy
  • Horizons™ and Solitudes™ horizontal fencing for clean, contemporary aesthetics
  • Rail Fence for open, traditional designs

Together, these fencing systems provide privacy, security and curb appeal, offering enduring beauty and the low-maintenance ease that defines the Trex brand.

“Our focus for 2026 is clear – to continue building on Trex’s legacy of innovation with products and solutions that help builders and dealers meet the evolving demands of today’s homeowners and home environments,” Zambanini added. “From high-performance decking to our robust portfolio of outdoor living solutions, Trex is committed to driving innovation, simplifying specification and enabling our partners to create outdoor spaces that are beautiful, functional and built to last.”
