Key Highlights from the 2024 Governance Report include:

  • Safety: Four critical safety initiatives drove year-over-year improvements in safety performance. These included the company’s Hand Safety Awareness Campaign, Machine Guarding and Ergonomics continuous improvement events, enterprise-wide PPE standardization and Walks and Talks — a program where leaders enhance the company’s safety culture by observing and providing individual feedback on employee safety behaviors.
  • Sustainability: In 2024, Cornerstone Building Brands achieved a 75.5% diversion of total waste from landfills through initiatives that reduce landfill impact across its operations. Additionally, the company contributed to the 3.8 million pounds of recycled vinyl materials that have been reclaimed by the Vinyl Institute since 2016, as well as exceeded the trucking industry’s average fuel efficiency rate by 17%. The company’s portfolio also includes energy-efficient products such as ENERGY STAR®-rated vinyl windows and recyclable metal roofing and wall systems designed to help customers lower energy costs and reduce their environmental impact.
  • Community Impact: In 2024, the company continued to strengthen its annual community building initiatives to improve affordable housing availability. Since launching the Home for Good project in 2016, it has contributed $4.1 million in products and cash donations, helping to build 825 homes across more than 150 communities across the U.S.
  • Innovation: In 2024, Cornerstone Building Brands advanced its innovation strategy to accelerate growth and deliver high-quality, sustainable exterior building solutions. Key initiatives include its Drive to Premier program, which is designed to enhance supplier performance through scorecard-based evaluations, foster stronger collaboration, and drive improvements in product quality and operational efficiency. Additionally, the ongoing rollout of its enterprise-wide Innovation Council and stage-gate product development process supports the generation of impactful ideas, streamlines execution and improves resource efficiency while prioritizing affordability for customers.
