Marquis Who's Who Honors Joseph Aoun for Expertise in Sustainable Technology

UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 7, 2025 / Marquis Who's Who honors Joseph Aoun for his expertise in sustainable technology. An expert in both science and research and development, Mr. Aoun has focused his career on developing technologies that benefit the planet. In his current role as the founder and chief executive officer of Oxydus, he is turning patents into tangible, transformative innovations.

Education and Early Career

Mr. Aoun did not focus his educational background on computer science or engineering, but rather on the critical thinking skills and informed perspective necessary to create change. He earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and theology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2014.

In 2013, during his education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Aoun founded The Menorah Islands Project. This initiative seeks to construct nine artificial islands in the Mediterranean Sea that would house sustainable and peaceful communities supported by eco-friendly infrastructure. This dream led him to found Oxydus in 2014, a company aimed at making a global impact.

Clean Water for All

One in 11 people worldwide lacks access to clean water and 2.2 billion lack access to safely managed drinking water services. Mr. Aoun founded Oxydus as an alternative, a globalized atmospheric water technology firm supporting communities in need. He has collaborated with scientists and engineers to develop an atmospheric water generator (AWG) factory and actively evaluates new proposals to combat climate change.

Oxydus Teva7 is Mr. Aoun's newest project - an air-to-water generator to extract moisture from the air and create clean, drinkable water through condensation. He is currently raising funds for the innovative solution, providing an opportunity for investors to become part of a sustainable future.

Additionally, Mr. Aoun served as founder and president of Islands of Peace Inc. from 2016 to 2018. Islands of Peace is a nonprofit initiative working to introduce AWG technology to communities in need while promoting harmony and cooperation through these projects. While he has moved to focus on developing new innovations at Oxydus, the Islands of Peace Inc. nonprofit continues to provide new opportunities for community cooperation.

Civic Efforts & Beyond

Aside from founding his own charitable organizations, Mr. Aoun actively participates with Housing Works to provide housing solutions for those in need. In addition to water, shelter is a key element of building sustainable communities, something which he recognizes through his civic efforts.

Mr. Aoun attributes much of his success to the contributions of the scientists and engineers who support his vision for the future. In addition, he values the genuine connections he has made through his life and work, a network of friends who support him in his endeavors.

Mr. Aoun advances a dream of peace, innovation and sustainability in all that he does. Moving forward, he plans to explore solutions for worker scarcity and develop the first-ever permanent station capable of creating water from clouds. Mr. Aoun's ambition is an inspiration to those around him and demonstrates the potential to change the world.
