ITEM 9. REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE
On January 26, 2004, Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it closed on its purchase from Wachovia Bank, N.A, of a $15 million junior participation in a $95 million first mortgage, secured by the Adam’s Mark hotel property in Denver, Colorado. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.9 and is incorporated herein by reference.
