Item 8.01 Other Events.
On August 3, 2006, ITCTransmission, ITC Holdings Corp.’s wholly owned subsidiary, issued a press
release announcing that its transmission system in southeastern Michigan reached a record peak load
of 12,762 MW following several days of near record high temperatures. For purposes of
ITCTransmission’s Attachment O formula, the actual network load of 12,745 MW will be used. A copy
of the Press Release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
