On
April 20, 2010, Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation
(“Navios Acquisition”), issued a press release announcing
the date, May 25, 2010, and location of the special meeting for voting of the proposed vessel
acquisition. The press release also announced the fixing of the
record date as April 30, 2010 for determining stockholders entitled
to receive notice of, and, to vote at, this special meeting. A copy
of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated
herein by reference.
