Other Events
On May 23, 2007, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals made a ruling in the ongoing litigation arising from the Valdez accident. With two dissenting opinions, the Court determined not to re-hear ExxonMobil's appeal before the full court. ExxonMobil will now proceed with a petition for writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court.
