On October 25, 2013, NewStar Financial, Inc. (the Company) called the NewStar Trust 2005-1 (the 2005-1 CLO) which was the term debt securitization completed in August 2005. At issuance, the 2005-1 CLO provided for a three-year reinvestment period and had an original maturity date of July 25, 2018. The 2005-1 CLO was called at par in accordance with its terms. The 2005-1 CLO was the second term debt securitization that the Company paid off in its entirety.
