Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

The following information and exhibit is being furnished pursuant to Regulation FD.

On July 21, 2010, Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. issued a press release announcing the implementation of corn oil extraction at its ethanol plants. The Company expects to complete the technology deployment by the end of the first quarter of 2011 and anticipates the project would enhance operating income by $15 million to $19 million per year. A copy of this press release is attached hereto at Exhibit 99.1.
