Item 5.02.  Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 2, 2009, DaVita Inc. (the “Company”) filed a current report on Form 8-K reporting that Pamela M. Arway had been elected as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. On July 16, 2009, the Board of Directors of the Company appointed Ms. Arway as a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee of the Board of Directors.
