Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 17, 2008, Regeneration Technologies, Inc. (“RTI”) and Tutogen Medical, Inc. (“Tutogen”) issued a press release announcing that with the proposed merger of the two companies, RTI will ask its shareholders to approve a new company name, RTI Biologics, Inc., at the special meeting of the stockholders of RTI scheduled for February 27, 2008. The stock will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol RTIX.

A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
