Primarily because of the negative impact of pre-store opening costs and promotional pricing associated with five new stores that were opened by the Company in the last four months of calendar 2002, the Company anticipates to report a net loss of approximately $1,382,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 2003 as opposed to a net income of $761,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 2002.SWIZ12B25_registrant=Gristede's Foods, Inc.
