Project Invent, a nonprofit organization that provides design thinking and invention education to high school students, will be hosting a Demo Day in San Diego on April 9-10, 2022, where student innovators from e3 Civic High, Marlborough School, Breakthrough Training Center, and Kearny High School school will come together to showcase their impact inventions in front of a panel of investors and entrepreneurs for a chance to win funding.

Demo Day is a culminating event for Project Invent students. Throughout the year, student inventors have designed innovative solutions to some of the world's most pressing problems, using a human-centered approach to inventing a better world. They have learned about the process of design thinking, brainstormed creative solutions to real problems, and created prototypes for their solutions. At Demo Day, Project Invent student teams will come together and share their inventions with over 100 students, teachers, investors, and audience members.

Project Invent, launched in Palo Alto in 2018, is on a mission to create the next generation of fearless, compassionate problem solvers. Their program teaches young people not only how to create change in their community, but how to do so with confidence, agency, and empathy. They are committed to ensuring that every student has a clear path to success and strive to decrease the opportunity gap in STEM and entrepreneurship, especially for Black, Indigenous, and LatinX youth.

"As our society faced challenge after challenge in race, climate, and public health over the past few years, our students and their innovation and passion have been a flashlight of hope," said Connie Liu, founder, and executive director at Project Invent. "Through this work, we're giving students the confidence and skills to be the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, and change-makers."

Demo Day X San Diego is hosted by Project Invent and e3 Civic High and is open to the public. Register to attend here.
