Relatedly, 28% of respondents cite armrest hogs and the bumping of elbows as an annoyance that contributes to travel misery. In the context of COVID-19, what may have been characterized as a mild annoyance, now becomes a more pressing issue.

Shorter getaways (micro-cations) and the notion of "authentic spontaneity" are trends that have been gaining momentum for some time now. We will likely see the pendulum swing even further in this direction in the year ahead. 3. Simplicity Redefined
One of the interesting side effects of the pandemic has been a sort of forced-simplicity in many facets of our lives.
