For Second Year JetBlue Named Best Domestic Economy Class and Best Domestic Business Class at The Points Guy Awards

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) today announced it has again been recognized by The Points Guy with awards for Best Domestic Economy Class (Airbus A321 Core) and Best Domestic Business Class (Mint). For a second year, JetBlue was the only airline – domestically and globally – to win awards for both economy and business. The wins underscore JetBlue’s long-standing commitment to offering the very best customer experience in the sky no matter which product a customer chooses.

“Whether it be our carefully crafted Mint experience or our world-renowned Core offering, these awards reflect our dedication to maintain and advance a best-in-class experience no matter who you are or where you are seated onboard,” said Joanna Geraghty, JetBlue’s president and chief operating officer. “We’d like to thank The Points Guy for recognizing JetBlue once again as the industry leader.”

The Points Guy (TPG) is a trusted travel and lifestyle media platform that focuses on maximizing travel experiences while minimizing spending. Through an informative, clever point of view, TPG has become the leading online resource for all things points, miles and resourceful travel experiences. This week, The Points Guy Brian Kelly hosted the second annual TPG Awards at a star-studded event held on The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York.

The recognitions come as JetBlue continues to invest in the customer experience through the restyling of its Airbus A320 aircraft and the recent introduction of its A321neo aircraft. The restyled A320s and the new A321neos introduce a new era of comfort and connectivity to travelers, bringing to the skies the widest seats available for this aircraft and the most legroom in coach of any U.S. airline (a). The refreshed experience also offers an unparalleled inflight entertainment (IFE) experience with 100+ channels of DIRECTV® and hundreds of free movies and shows, expanded coverage of free Fly-Fi® broadband connectivity almost everywhere JetBlue flies (b), a re-designed self-serve area called The Pantry® and much more.

“With its class-leading legroom for all passengers, free Wi-Fi and complimentary brand-name snacks, JetBlue remains at the top of the class when it comes to the domestic economy experience,” The Points Guy said in a company statement.

At the same time, the airline continues to expand premium Mint flights on cross-country routes and in the Caribbean and Latin America. JetBlue now operates more than 80 daily Mint flights in 15 JetBlue cities. On most of these routes, JetBlue is the only airline to offer regularly scheduled flights with a lie flat seat. It comes with Mint’s tapas style dining, amenity kits by Hayward and Hopper, dessert from local artisanal ice cream makers and dedicated hospitality trained crewmembers.

“JetBlue Mint sets the bar for a domestic business-class experience. Some seats in the cabin are private ‘thrones’ and when you combine that with friendly, professional service and top-notch food, you’ve got a product that stands above the rest of the airlines in the market,” The Points Guy said in a company statement.

Additionally, JetBlue recently announced future orders for the Airbus A321LR, A321XLR and A220-300 aircraft. Those aircraft will usher in the next chapter of the JetBlue story with unmatched fuel savings, a best-in-class customer experience from award-winning crewmembers and the promise to broaden the customer-focused airline’s reach within the Americas and into Europe in the years ahead.
