“I remember looking around at the bunch of them and recalling one
of the droll sayings my grandfather had been particularly fond of…
'Mixing the good with the bad was like mixing shit with ice cream –
it doesn’t help the shit any, but it sure screws up the ice cream.’”

LAKE ORION, MICHIGAN, June 11

Local award-winning author Ronald L. Herron of Lake Orion, has launched “One Way Street” - the sequel to his award-winning novel “Reichold Street” ... and the second book in his “Reichold Street Trilogy.” The new book is available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Herron, a former public relations and marketing operations manager for General Motors, launched his full-time writing career after leaving GM early in 2008. He has already garnered Readers Favorite Gold and Silver Medals for two of his four books. In addition, he is the author of “Painting With Light,” an online blog (www.ronherron.wordpress.com) aimed at helping other independent authors discover the secret to successful creative writing.

Set in the fictional working-class town of Brickdale, “One Way Street” is the gritty, thriller sequel to the Readers Favorite 2012 Gold Medal winner “Reichold Street.” It continues the story of Paul Barrett and his friends, who are growing up in the tumultuous 1960s Vietnam era, and follows them through war despondency, love and a murderous stalker.

Jack Magnus, reviewer for Readers Favorite said, “This ranks with some of the best war-related literature I’ve read. It’s a memorable book, filled with characters who share growing up in turbulent times…it will stay vibrant in most readers’ minds for some time after they finish…”

That sentiment was echoed by Maria Beltran for Readers Favorite, whose 5-Star Review called it “…a mesmerizing thriller that can haunt you long after you put the book down.”

Herron is available for interviews and appearances. For booking presentations, media appearances, interviews, and/or book-signings contact ron@ronaldherron.com.
