PRLog - May 23, 2013 - MIAMI -- The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists today announced the appointment to its Advisory Board of Judge Joseph Farina, an arbitrator, mediator and special master at JAMS, in Miami, and retired Chief Judge of Florida’s 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.

Mr. Farina, highly regarded as an effective and active settlement judge who handled more than 3,500 cases, supervised operations of the Miami-Dade Court System from 1995 to 2009. Previously, he served as Administrative Judge for the 11th Circuit Criminal Division and, before that, as the mayor of Miami Shores.

“Judge Farina is a beacon of professionalism in the legal community, and has established a reputation for honesty, charity and class that few others can boast,” said Mathew Baum, ACEDS Executive Vice President. “He brings a unique perspective to the ACEDS Advisory Board, and we are proud to welcome him as a key figure in guiding the training and knowledge we provide to our members.”
