Wealth management firm adds tax preparation at no additional cost to Strategic and Comprehensive memberships, enabling coordinated year-round strategy
Domain Money today launched personal tax filing services for Strategic and Comprehensive members, integrating tax preparation directly into its financial planning process at no additional cost. The addition enables the firm's CFP® professionals to coordinate tax strategy with investment decisions, retirement planning, and equity compensation management throughout the year. This further serves Domain Money’s goal to provide an all-in-one solution for members to achieve financial clarity and convenience.
The new service addresses a persistent challenge in wealth management: financial advisors and tax preparers operating in silos, creating gaps that can cost clients thousands in missed optimization opportunities. Domain Money's unified approach allows its CFP® professionals to work alongside tax professionals to ensure financial decisions are evaluated for tax implications before they're executed, rather than reconciled months later during tax season.
"Most wealth management firms treat tax preparation as outside their scope, which creates expensive blind spots," said Adam Dell, CEO of Domain Money. "A client might execute a stock option exercise in July that makes perfect sense from an investment standpoint but creates an unexpected tax burden in April. By coordinating tax filing with ongoing financial planning, we can identify those issues before they happen and adjust the strategy accordingly."
Tax filing services include federal and state tax returns, real estate investment properties, multi-state income, crypto, and foreign forms and schedules. Services are provided by licensed tax professionals who work directly with Domain Money's CFP® team to ensure strategy alignment across all financial decisions.
The integration is particularly relevant for Domain Money's core client base of high-earning professionals managing equity compensation. RSU vesting, stock option exercises, and ESPP participation all carry significant tax implications that can be strategically managed when tax preparation and financial planning are coordinated. The unified approach enables tactics like tax-loss harvesting, Roth conversion timing, and estimated tax payment optimization throughout the year rather than as year-end adjustments.
Strategic members ($4,800 Year 1, renewing at $2,500 annually) and Comprehensive members ($7,800 Year 1, renewing at $4,500 annually) now receive tax filing services included in their membership at no additional cost. The service is available to clients nationwide.
Domain Money is encouraging prospective members to join by January 31, 2026 to allow adequate time for CFP® professionals to coordinate 2025 tax filing ahead of the April 15 deadline. Existing Strategic and Comprehensive members will automatically gain access to tax filing services for the 2025 tax year.
