On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the world will stitch together in celebration of Teach the World to Sew Day™, a first-of-its-kind global activation spanning five continents and uniting thousands of sewists under one mission: to inspire new sewists and honor those who teach them.
Powered by the iconic brands SINGER®, HUSQVARNA ® VIKING ® and PFAFF ®, this international event will feature a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual workshops, tutorials and community gatherings in countries around the world, including: Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, India, Italy, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey and the United States. Makers worldwide of all ages and skill levels will come together to share their passion for sewing.
“This is more than a day — it’s a movement,” said Rob Will, CEO of SVP Worldwide. “Teach the World to Sew Day™ is about connecting generations, cultures and communities through the timeless art of sewing. Across our brands and across the globe, we’re celebrating the people who make and the people who teach.”
With more than 2,000 participants expected worldwide, the event marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to foster creativity, build community and ensure the future of sewing for generations to come.
