“Suffolk’s Mission Critical Center of Excellence is thrilled to welcome William, who I am confident will continue to drive our strategic growth and impressive project portfolio in this high-potential sector,” said Charles McCarthy, General Manager of Mission Critical at Suffolk. “William’s established background in electrical contracting, longstanding relationships in the data center industry and deep understanding of client needs and concerns will positively position Suffolk’s Mission Critical group for continued growth and operational excellence.”

Mr. Ellis joins Suffolk from Wasatch Electric Group, where he gained industry experience over his 25 years with the company in various roles including Journeyman Electrician and Senior Estimator. Most recently, he served as a Business Development Manager for the company for over six years, during which time the company increased its revenue by thirty-five percent. Throughout his time in these roles, Mr. Ellis was involved in the procurement, preconstruction and delivery of projects in major industry sectors including data centers, refineries, heavy industrial and healthcare facilities. This diverse portfolio provides Mr. Ellis with a strong foundation of operational knowledge and industry acumen, which will propel Suffolk’s Mission Critical Center of Excellence to continued success.

“I am thrilled to join Suffolk’s Mission Critical team and provide unmatched client service to our valued partners in the data center industry,” said Mr. Ellis. “Throughout my career, I have learned the importance of building lasting relationships, understanding client needs, and developing a genuine care and concern for the partners we collaborate with. When I made the decision to transition from working with trade partners to general contractors, my top priority was finding a contractor that I would have been proud to do business with as a trade partner. Suffolk not only meets those expectations, but exceeds them in every way.”

Mr. Ellis maintains a comprehensive understanding of client concerns, including industry-wide labor shortages and the complex and expedited nature of data center projects. His valuable perspective will help guide clients through these industry challenges in a time of rising demand for data center capabilities, due in part to the global boom in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. On the cutting edge of sustainability and power generation trends, Suffolk’s Mission Critical Center of Excellence will continue to deliver outstanding results for large institutional clients, such as Yahoo and Verizon, as well as diversify its hyperscale data center portfolio.
