The public sector represents a significant growth opportunity in New York that will require a leader with strong experience and knowledge of the complexities of delivering public projects in the region. For more than twenty years, Mr. Doron has led highly skilled teams in the successful delivery of high-profile, sophisticated projects including the Fulton Center, Brooklyn Bridge Esplanade, World Trade Center 9A Underpass and East/West Connector, and the Staten Island 9/11 Postcards Memorial Restoration.

“Over the past two decades, Aeran has built an impressive resume that includes some of the most impactful and significant public projects that have impacted the New York community,” said Ralph Esposito, President of Suffolk’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. “His longstanding relationships, unparalleled knowledge, tech-savvy approach to construction, and proven ability to successfully navigate some of the most complex projects in the country will allow us to further penetrate the public sector market and continue to position Suffolk as the preferred building contractor in New York.”

Prior to joining Suffolk, Mr. Doron spent nearly eight years at Hunter Roberts Construction Group, and 10 years at Skanska USA Civil. During that time, he developed a reputation as a multi-talented leader who offered value throughout the entire lifecycle of a project by leveraging his own experience and successes in preconstruction, operations, leadership, client management, and business development. His impressive skills, combined with Suffolk’s national resources and state-of-the-art technologies, will allow his teams to deliver a more predictable and seamless design and construction process that will exceed client expectations and transform the way buildings are constructed in the city.

“I’m thrilled to join Suffolk, a firm whose ambitious vision to redefine the built world aligns with my growth mindset and innovative spirit,” said Mr. Doron. “I look forward to partnering with Suffolk’s team of industry leading builders and leveraging our complementary verticals in design and technology, with the goal of continuing to deliver public sector projects that serve and strengthen our communities.”

Suffolk’s New York operation is responsible for highly visible and notable building construction projects in the metro area, including the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences, One High Line, White Plains Hospital and South Shore University Hospital. The Real Deal New York ranked Suffolk #4 on its list of “Top GCs: By Size of New Building Projects” for 2023, up from #12 in 2022. For more information, visit www.suffolk.com.
