Suffolk Earns 2023 Great Place to Work Certification™

Certification highlights the innovative builder as one of the leading employers in the U.S., creating an outstanding employee experience

Suffolk, one of the largest and most innovative real estate and construction enterprises in the country, is proud to announce that it has been distinguished as a Great Place to Work® Certified™ company for the fourth consecutive year. Great Place To Work is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.

In a survey conducted by Great Place To Work to evaluate Suffolk’s Certification, more than 91% of Suffolk employees reported the company as a great place to work, as compared to 57% of employees at the average U.S. company. Results specifically noted that over 93% of employees feel welcome, accomplished, supported and proud to work at Suffolk. Employees specifically highlighted Suffolk’s people-first culture, commitment to integrating technology and innovation into the construction process, comprehensive benefits, and caring environment. According to additional research conducted by Great Place To Work, four out of five employees of Certified Great Places To Work find meaning in their jobs, feel psychologically and emotionally healthy, and look forward to coming to work – sentiment that Suffolk strives to create for employees in the workplace.

"Being recognized as a ‘Great Place To Work’ supports our goal of attracting the best talent; further bonds our teams together as we achieve our vision as America’s Contractor; and, most importantly, affirms that we are embodying our core values of Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism, and Caring," said John Fish, Chairman and CEO of Suffolk. "Our employees’ valuable feedback and participation in the survey, and throughout the year, has been instrumental in shaping our organization and reinforcing our commitment to creating an exceptional workplace for all."

Suffolk believes in the power of people and the importance of collaboration to create inclusive work environments in which employees can thrive, and the company works hard to attract, retain and develop teams that are diverse in thought, perspectives and backgrounds. Suffolk is committed to expanding diversity both in the workplace and industry-wide on job sites where Suffolk crews are building and innovating for future generations.

Through workforce development programs including Career Start, a two-year rotational program for recent college graduates who are passionate about the opportunity to grow their career in construction management, We Are Suffolk, creating consistent culture throughout the organization with local nuances in each Suffolk region, and office and Field Accelerated Superintendent Training, Suffolk's internal culture continues to provide employees the skills needed to successfully grow their careers.
