Mrs. Solorzano joins Suffolk to support ongoing work at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which is on pace to hit 80 million passengers in 2023 after surpassing pre-pandemic traveler levels. Suffolk is currently managing the DFW Terminal C Renovation project and the new zero carbon Electric Central Utility Plant (eCUP), which addresses current and future heating and cooling demand to improve resiliency, maximize efficiency, and position DFW to expand its operations and achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030.

“Suffolk is thrilled to add Patricia to our growing team of strategic and innovative leaders in Dallas/Fort Worth,” said Brad Brown, President of Suffolk Texas. “As a Dallas native and Texas A&M graduate, Patricia is a hometown success story having led the management of some of the region’s most recognizable projects and she will play a pivotal role in Suffolk Texas’ rapid growth.”

Mrs. Solorzano joins Suffolk after 17 years with Austin Commercial, where she managed projects in a variety of major industry sectors, including aviation, commercial, mixed-use and hospitality construction. As a senior project manager, Mrs. Solorzano was responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships and overseeing successful project delivery. Throughout her career, she has been involved with expansions at Sacramento International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and San Diego International Airport, as well as the American Airlines Trinity Complex in Fort Worth.

“I am thrilled to join Suffolk’s Texas team and play an important role in the projects fueling the growth and development of the Dallas/Forth Worth region,” said Mrs. Solorzano. “Our strong relationships and innovative technologies allow Suffolk to consistently deliver operational excellence for our clients. I look forward to implementing Suffolk’s proven processes and leveraging my passion for mentorship to further establish Suffolk as both a preferred contractor and a standout workplace in Dallas/Fort Worth.”

Suffolk has been steadily expanding its presence in Dallas/Fort Worth, doubling its employee base in just one year with the recent addition of construction professionals and industry veterans including Vice President of Preconstruction Gary Gunter and Director of Business Development Emily Henry. The strategic growth of the team allows Suffolk to deliver project excellence and diversify its expanding portfolio in Dallas/Fort Worth, which currently includes The Terminal at Katy Trail, the Dallas County Mesquite Government Center, and the DFW Terminal C Renovations and eCUP facility. The Dallas Business Journal recently named Suffolk’s Dallas office as one of its “2023 Best Places to Work,” a testament to Suffolk’s strong national culture and commitment to its Dallas/Fort Worth employee base.
