Conway Regional Medical Center taps Sepsis Monitor to help detect sepsis earlier and deliver consistent patient care; saves nearly $400k as part of a broader length of stay reduction effort

Sentri7 Sepsis Monitor (formerly known as POC Advisor) leverages clinical natural language processing (cNLP) and advanced algorithms to surveil a hospital's patients 24/7 to identify early signs of sepsis. The solution also monitors patient care and notifies clinical teams of deviations from the evidence-based SEP-1 protocol, eliminating unwarranted variation in care and improving quality and financial performance. Powering rapid sepsis improvement at Conway Regional Medical Center

Using Wolters Kluwer’s Sentri7 Sepsis Monitor, Conway Regional Medical Center, a 150-bed hospital serving North Central Arkansas, improved its SEP-1 bundle compliance by more than 20% in just over four months —placing them in the top decile of institutions nationwide based on internal case tracking. During the same period, the hospital also achieved cumulative savings of nearly $400,000 as a result of sepsis care improvements and other initiatives to reduce patients’ length of stay.
