CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. - Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors, a nationally recognized real estate brokerage and advisory firm specializing in retail property sales, proudly kicks off its 15th annual Movember fundraising campaign, "Mo'ments in Time," in celebration of the firm's 20th anniversary.
Since 2011, Hanley Investment Group has raised $400,000 for Movember, the leading global charity dedicated to improving men's health through awareness and funding for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
"I carry this cause close to my heart in memory of my father, who passed away from prostate cancer in 2009," said Ed Hanley, president of Hanley Investment Group. "His strength and story continue to inspire our mission to make a lasting impact."
"This year's campaign is especially meaningful," Hanley continued. "As we reflect on 20 years in business and 15 years of Movember fundraising, we're sharing throwback photos and stories from past campaigns, each moustache a symbol of our commitment to saving lives and sparking conversations."
Movember participants begin clean-shaven on November 1 and spend the month grooming their moustaches, becoming walking, talking billboards for men's health. Women, known as "Mo Sistas," also join the cause. Since its founding in 2003, Movember has raised over $1.5 billion globally, funding more than 1,320 projects across 20 countries.
The need is urgent. According to Movember:
- Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the United States, and the second-leading cause of cancer death. Each day, 73 American men die from the disease.
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among men aged 15 to 34, with one American man dying from it every day.
- In the U.S., four out of five suicides are men, with 90 men dying by suicide every day.
- Globally, every minute, a man dies by suicide.
Movember funds groundbreaking projects to address these crises, supporting research, early detection, and community-based programs that help men live longer, healthier lives.
"The moustache is a powerful upper-lip accessory," Hanley added. "It commands attention and can initiate lifesaving conversations. To support the cause, Hanley will co-host a fundraising evening on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Muldoon's Irish Pub in Newport Beach, California. Guest bartenders will include Ed Hanley, Nathan Holthouser, president of Coastal Commercial, and Mario Marovic of Lounge Group, which owns and operates several Orange County establishments including Wild Goose Tavern, The Country Club, and Muldoon's Irish Pub. A portion of the evening's bar sales will be donated to Movember.
