Tech4Good Donates 36,000 PPE Kits to Developing Countries - with Lachlan Bunn, CEO

To help developing countries with access to vital Personal Protective Equipment in the COVID-19 pandemic, Tech4Good, as part of the Masks For Heroes initiative have donated PPE to healthcare workers in remote areas in Afghanistan, with Lachlan Bunn

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, September 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The donations are for those not served by current government, World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF or Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) initiatives.

Coming from a family of doctors, Tech4Good's Founder, James Cotton (one of Australia's leading impact venture capitalists), said he was frustrated at the availability of PPE in times of crisis.

"When founding Tech4Good, I wanted to provide PPE to frontline doctors and nurses as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, and stop buyers getting scammed," James said.

"With the virus shattering many communities around the world – we feel compelled to make sure developing countries also have access to PPE."

James enlisted Lachlan Bunn, Tech4Good's CEO, a successful entrepreneur and previous owner of Antipodeans, Australia's leading educational travel company – which folded due to COVID-19.

Lachie, having had his own world turned upside down by the virus, said he is proud of the work Tech4Good is doing on a global scale to fight the pandemic.

"It's important to us to help communities around the world devastated by this pandemic – and, as we all know, PPE gear is a fundamental tool in the fight against this virus," said Lachie Bunn.

Tech4Good is also donating one mask (or other item of PPE gear) for every Tech4Good Reusable Impact Mask sold, to Healthcare Heroes in developing countries that have critical PPE shortages.
