ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS
As previously disclosed in the Current Report on Form 8-K filed by Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. (the “Company”) with the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 17, 2012, the Company and the City of Atlantic City (the “City”) entered into an amended settlement agreement (the “Settlement Agreement”) which resolved the Company’s challenges to the real estate tax assessments for its casino properties for the tax years 2008 through 2012. Pursuant to the Settlement Agreement, the City agreed, among other items, that upon successful completion of a bond offering by the City, the City would pay the Company $35.5 million in cash in partial settlement of the Company’s claims. On December 20, 2012, the Company received this $35.5 million cash payment from the City.
