Section 7 Regulation FD
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On November 15, 2006, the following executive officers of Chesapeake Energy Corporation entered into sales trading plans pursuant to Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934: Steven C. Dixon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Martha A. Burger, Treasurer and Senior Vice President Human Resources; and Michael A. Johnson, Senior Vice President Accounting, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Each plan expires on November 15, 2007 and has been approved by Chesapeake in accordance with its Insider Trading Policy. Each plan is part of the individual executives long-term strategy to diversify assets and provides for the sale of shares of Chesapeakes common stock in connection with vested employee stock options. Other Chesapeake executives may enter into Rule 10b5-1 trading plans in the future, from time to time.
