On September 22, 2015, MetLife, Inc. (“MetLife”) issued a news release announcing that its Board of Directors has authorized additional repurchases of MetLife common stock, bringing MetLife’s available repurchase authorization to $1 billion. Prior to the authorization, MetLife’s remaining repurchase authorization had been approximately $261 million. A copy of the news release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
