OMNICARE ISSUES STATEMENT
COVINGTON, Ky., August 23, 2011 Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR) today issued the following statement in response to PharMerica Corporations (NYSE:PMC) press release.
We believe that our proposal presents a compelling value proposition for PharMerica stockholders. We disagree with PharMericas regulatory analysis, and disagree that a $15 per share cash proposal, not conditioned on financing, is highly conditional and risky. We urge PharMerica to sit down with us to engage in meaningful discussions.
We remain firmly committed to pursuing this transaction and continue to be very confident in our ability to consummate a transaction expeditiously.
