On April 30, 2007, Kronos Incorporated (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the record date and the date of the special meeting of shareholders of the Company to be held in connection with the proposed acquisition of the Company by entities affiliated with Hellman & Friedman LLC, a private equity investment firm.
